Electrical Assessor / Trainer Needed!
Cummings Electrical is looking at expanding our Training / Assessor Department and we are looking to add an additional Licensed Electrician to the team. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on, results-oriented, licensed electrician to provide evaluations and efficient training, to industry new hires and help them excel within Cummings Electrical.
Responsibilities
Electrical Assessor
- Works efficiently and effectively to assist in the success of meeting ever-changing company workforce demands.
- Assesses electrical candidates on a range of technical skills that are necessary to perform tasks safely and efficiently in the field.
- Determines employability and document-appropriate recommendations when addressing specific training needs.
- Provides mentoring, advice, and guidance to help recruit perspective candidates and advocate for existing employees.
- Has excellent knowledge of current occupational standards in the relevant area of work.
Electrical Trainer
Demonstrates success in developing learning content and curricula that promotes retention.Collaborates with other subject matter experts to develop course content.Can create learning activities, handout materials, and assessments.Develops instructor manuals, participant guides, and other teaching tools as needed.Analyzes, updates, and revises existing training content / programs.Creates and maintains a comfortable learning environment.Sets ground rules to encourage positive group interaction.Leads learning activities to outcomes that produce self-discovery for the learner.Qualifications
Electrical Journeyman LicenseStrong experience in electrical and mechanical systemsExcellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skillsAble to develop business relationships (internal and external).Collaborative style with a decisive, results-oriented approachCan handle sensitive information to maintain confidentiality.Strong computer skills and adept at learning new softwareAccurate and detail-orientedFlexible – can prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.Skill Requirements

Minimum 5 years documented electrical field work in the industrial and commercial industry.Minimum Journeyman Level LicenseTroubleshooting SkillsTraining and Teaching ExperienceMust be capable in creating and delivering training programsStrong Electrical Trade BackgroundDemonstrate leadership success in developing learning curricula and contentStrong experience in electrical, mechanical systems preferredStrong interpersonal, communication and influencing skillsCollaborative style with decisive, results-oriented approachAdaptable and innovative in design and execution of learning and development programs, processes and solutions.The ability to develop relationships (internal and external), exhibit strong influencing skills.Impeccable integrity, high work standards and strong problem solving skills are a must.Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.Must have strong communication skills and professional appearance and demeanor.Must have a positive "can do" attitude, a passion for passing on knowledge, and relentlessly support improvement for the company.
