Quality & Food Safety Director
The Quality & Food Safety Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all quality, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory programs to ensure products meet the highest standards from raw materials through finished goods.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide leadership to Quality Assurance and Sanitation teams, including strategy, project management, and daily operations.
Develop, implement, and monitor food safety, quality, GMP, sanitation, and regulatory programs (SQF, HACCP, FSMA, GFCO, Kosher, Organic, etc.).
Build and maintain a strong food safety culture across the organization.
Partner with Production, Maintenance, Warehousing, and R&D to ensure compliant processes, equipment, and product design.
Lead internal audits, third-party audits, SQF certification, and regulatory inspections; develop corrective action plans and verify follow-up.
Manage CQV activities for new lines, products, and processes.
Oversee environmental monitoring and in-house lab testing (e.g., Listeria, Salmonella, air quality).
Support complaint investigations and drive continuous improvement in quality systems.
Train and develop FSQ team members and ensure consistent application of all quality and food safety standards.
