Our client is a well-established organization in the education sector seeking a Payroll and General Accountant to support their growing finance team. This full-time, in-person role reports directly to the Controller and offers a mix of payroll processing and general ledger responsibilities.

  • Hands-on experience with ADP WorkforceNow and Financial Edge NXT

Responsibilities of the Payroll and General Accountant include but are not limited to :

  • Run bi-weekly payroll using ADP WorkforceNow
  • Prepare and enter monthly journal entries; reconcile cash and balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with investment reporting, endowment accounting, and fixed asset tracking
  • Support annual audit preparation and coordinate with Advancement on gift reconciliation
  • Process summer billing, petty cash, and other general ledger tasks
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality across all responsibilities

    • Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with relevant coursework
  • 2–3 years of accounting or finance experience required
  • Payroll processing experience strongly preferred, especially with ADP WorkforceNow
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with Financial Edge NXT a plus
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines with integrity
