About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to join their dynamic team. This key leadership role is focused on expanding and strengthening the current portfolio of commercial accounts, as well as driving the acquisition of new business opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team that grows local and regional key accounts in the MSP / VMS space, with a particular emphasis on technical, engineering, life sciences, and non-IT service categories. Day-to-day activities include leading by example, managing a healthy P&L, owning revenue and growth targets, developing effective sales plans, and working closely with lead generators and the proposal team. The role also involves regular client visits, attending networking events, and monitoring customer satisfaction.
Candidates for the Vice President of Business Development position at the company should have a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience, with at least 15 years in sales and business development, and a minimum of 5 years in the MSP / VMS, direct, and SOW-based clients in the commercial sector. Experience in sourcing, qualifying, and filling RFI / RFPs, as well as in building sales automation systems and processes, is essential. The role requires a tech-savvy individual who is up-to-date with current technologies and recruitment trends, and who is open to travel up to 30-40% of the time. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are a must, along with a proven track record in leadership, setting and executing a clear vision, and a strong focus on growth and development.
