Cardiology Physician

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Cardio Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to work locum shifts in Greenville, South Carolina (SC). Starting as soon as possible, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits. This role involves a mix of surgical first assist, ICU management, and pre / post-operative care in a high-volume, acute care setting.

Cardiothoracic Surgery role :

Monday-Friday, 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 00 PM

Overtime applies after 8 hours / day

Call required : (primarily ER call)

Daily caseload : 10 patients (5 admissions, 5 ICU, 4 surgeries)

Must be able to harvest vein and first assist on all open-heart cases

Suturing and comprehensive pre / post-op surgical care

Adult patient population only

Team includes 4 physicians and 7 mid-level providers

In-house anesthesia available 24 / 7

Procedures performed in the OR

EMR : EPIC

Requirements of the Cardiothoracic Surgery role :

SC state license; active, unrestricted (or willingness to obtain)

Board certified

Certifications- ACLS and DEA

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)

2 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience

Must be able to perform vein harvesting and first assist
