About The Position

Job Title : Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Profession : RN

Shift : Rotating shifts

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience

License : Current RN License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (preferred), TNCC (strongly preferred)

Must-Have : General Emergency Department nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education.

Description :

The Emergency Department operates a 65-bed facility with a pod-based layout.

There is a separate pediatric pod and an Acute Mental Health area.

The clinician to patient ratio is 1 : 4.

The patient population includes all types of cases.

The department experiences approximately 230 visits per day.

EMR charting is done through a specific system.

Floating to different areas is required.

Rotating shifts may be required for certain day shifts, including early and late shifts, as requested.

The frequency of rotation is low for night positions, which do not rotate.
