We're seeking a motivated Regional Account Manager to support our expanding business across the Eastern U.S. This sales role is ideal for a candidate with a passion for the food industry and a desire to grow within the world of consumer packaged good sales. You'll assist in managing and growing relationships with key regional grocery retailers such as Giant Eagle, Market Basket, Wegmans, Ingles, Harris Teeter, and other regional grocery retailers, but is not limited in scope to grocery retailers only. This individual will also assume responsibility for select Special Market (not traditional retailers).

You'll work closely with senior sales leaders, brokers, and internal teams across trade marketing, demand planning, and customer service to create strong working relationships with our customers, drive distribution and promotional planning, identify areas for opportunity in retail execution and work collaboratively with our brokers and hold them accountable for their performance.

How You'll Contribute

  • Sells and develops Ritter Sport's long term, sustainable business with key retailers.
  • Delivers desired sales results (gross and net sales) within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Support daily account management activities for assigned retailers.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage trade promotions, seasonal programming, and post-event analysis.
  • Collaborate with broker partners and retail execution teams to ensure optimal shelf presence, merchandising standards, and successful new item launches.
  • Develop sales presentations, promotional calendars, and materials for customer meetings.
  • Track and report on sales performance, inventory levels, and shipment trends; identify and escalate risks or opportunities.
  • Maintain customer records, promotional plans, and internal sales trackers to ensure data accuracy.
  • Support trade shows, customer events, and in-store audits.
  • Travel regionally (up to 50%) to visit customers, conduct store visits, and attend industry events.

Experience and Skills

About YOU!

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in Consumer Packaged Good sales, confectionery experience is preferred, and / or account support or retail merchandising experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm for the food / confectionery space and a career in sales / account management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Familiarity and capability to use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with regional retailers
  • Broker management or experience working with Brokers is also an appreciated experience

    Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including internal equity, market data, the candidate's qualifications- including but not limited to specialty skills, prior relevant industry experience, relevant degrees or certifications (e.g. CPA, JD). The salary range estimate below is inclusive of all departments within the company and offered salaries may vary within the given range between departments. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this level is $80-100k annualized plus additional compensation and other competitive benefits.
