WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract Respiratory Therapist for a local contract job in Staten Island, New York.

WCS Healthcare is urgently seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a state of the art health care system in Staten Island, NY.

Job Function :

  • Day Shift and Night Shift.
  • 7am to 7 : 30pm and 7pm to 7 : 30am.
  • Reviews data in-patient record, including admission and current R.C. orders, patient history, physical exam, PFT values, ABG results, and laboratory data.
  • Set up and maintain respiratory equipment as instructed; Attends department meetings and in-services as instructed.
  • Performs patient assessment in order to monitor effects of therapy provided and documents this assessment in the patient chart.
  • Conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures to achieve and maintain adequate oxygenation, a patent's airway, including maintenance of adequate humidification.
  • Obtain and analyzes ABG's as ordered / per policy.
  • Follows Department protocols, such as weaning protocol, patient ventilator monitoring, Cuff pressure monitoring, etc.

    • Job Requirements :

  • 2 to 3 years of experience.
  • Virtual interview with cameras on.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Preferred : PALS.
  • Licensure : Active RRT license in good standing.
