Safety Specialist - Plant Level

Must have at least one year of plant safety experience within heavy industrial manufacturing operations along with a bachelor’s degree in safety or related technical field.This newly created position will be a member of the plant EHS Department, will report to the plant EHS Manager and support a large manufacturing facility in the Newport News, Virginia area.

This role will work closely with facility supervisors and support them through training in areas of investigations (ID root cause, make recommendations) and behavioral training related to human performance safety issues.Focus on safety prevention versus reaction.This is a fast-paced and challenging production facility due to the complexity of their operations.
