Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Lynchburg, Virginia (24501) – Discover the vibrant Lynchburg community in the Blue Ridge Mountains, known for its scenic parks, downtown attractions, and welcoming atmosphere.

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910

Assignment Length : 13 to 16 weeks (16 weeks preferred)

Start Date : January 12, 2026

Shift : 12-hour night shifts

Hours per Week : 36

Employment Type : Travel RN contract

Unit : LAC Resource Team (Intermediate Care / Cardiac Stepdown)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Intermediate Care, Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or Med-Surg settings

Prior travel nursing experience required

Active Registered Nurse license in Virginia or Compact State

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (current and valid)

Complete work history with explanations for any gaps over 90 days

Skills Checklist and copy of Nursys / license required at submission

Ability to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas RTO not approved)

Charge nurse experience and Cerner EMR experience preferred

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac, neuro, and med-surg patients in an intermediate acuity setting

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a teaching hospital environment

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and treatment responses

Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform clinical interventions

Participate in orientation and ongoing nursing education

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
