Job Summary and Qualifications What you will do in this role : You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients You will be responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for Oncology / Medical Intermediate Care Unit and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment. You will be responsible for assessment of patient with telemetry monitoring. You will be responsible for drawing blood from venous lines. You will utilize special feeding tubes (gastronomy, jejunostomy, nasogastric). You will be responsible for administering and monitoring chemotherapy / biotherapy agents if credentialed. What qualifications you will need : Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required BSN is required Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date) Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association) ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) preferred ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification within six months of hire with one year of experience ONCC Oncology Certified Nurse Certification recommended 2-years of clinical Med-Surg experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting required - Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Oncology, Cancer, BMT, Bone Marrow Transplant, Chemo, Hematology HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is a 530 bed hospital where sophisticated, world-class medicine meets the comfort, care and convenience of a community hospital .
