Job description

Senior Technical Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technical analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving our mission forward by developing and implementing high-quality, scalable, and efficient code that powers our company's competitive advantage.

This position is located at our office and has a hybrid schedule. We're onsite Monday through Wednesday. You will work closely with cross-departmental teams to gather requirements for each credit criteria update and business initiative to ensure coding and testing align with expected outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the lead implementer for our underwriting platform.
  • Partner with our Data Science team to implement, validate, and deploy custom models into our underwriting process.
  • Leverage database languages to proactively identify system defects, monitor technical production data, build reports and alerts, and present recommendations for system performance improvements to management.
  • Lead requirement gathering sessions with cross-departmental teams and external credit bureau and underwriting vendors to implement and test new data sources.
  • Communicate updates in both business and technical terms.

Requirements :

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required, with preference to backgrounds in computer science, or quantitative fields like economics, finance, and math.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leveraging a decision engine language.
  • Proficient in coding and testing through a decision engine language like Experian Powercurve, Equifax Interconnect, or FICO Blaze Advisor.
  • Proficient with SQL, Python, Spark, and / or other database languages.
  • Project Management experience, including working with external vendors.
  • Naturally curious, with a track record of identifying and solving complex problems.
