About the Opportunity

A growing plumbing and mechanical services company in Kansas City is seeking an early-career Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and financial reporting. This position is ideal for someone with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting who wants hands-on experience, strong mentorship, and long-term growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger entries and assist with month-end close
• Prepare account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Prepare financial statements and reports for leadership
• Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with accounting procedures
• Work with operations teams on billing, job costing, and invoicing
• Participate in process improvements and ad hoc accounting projects
