Levee Foreman B
Our mission is to ensure the physical, operational and financial integrity of the regional flood risk management system, in southeastern Louisiana as a defense against floods and storm surge from hurricanes. We accomplish this mission by working with local, regional, state and federal partners to plan, design, construct, operate and maintain projects that will reduce the probability and risk of flooding for the residents and businesses within our jurisdiction. The Levee Foreman B supervises a crew of Heavy Mobile Equipment Operators 1 and / or 2 to maintain the levees and flood control structures under the jurisdiction of the SLFPA-E. This responsibility also includes the maintenance of adjacent parkways and parks within subdivisions under the SLFPA-E's jurisdiction.
Minimum Qualifications : Three years of experience as a mechanic, or in the alteration, construction, maintenance or repair of bridges, buildings, drainage facilities, grounds, levees, roads, or wharfs.
