Cardiovascular Technologist Traveler (Long-Term Assignment)
Location : Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital, Chicago, Illinois
Department : Cardiology / Cardiovascular Lab
Assignment Dates : October 20, 2025 January 18, 2026
Schedule : Day Shift | 7 : 00 AM 5 : 30 PM
Positions Open : 1 | On-Call Required
Position Overview
The Cardiovascular Technologist (Traveler) assists physicians with invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures in the Cardiovascular Lab. This role requires ARRT certification, cath lab experience, and the ability to scrub procedures, monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data, and support patient care throughout cardiovascular interventions.
Responsibilities
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
Scrub and circulate during procedures, ensuring sterile technique is maintained.
Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data.
Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies prior to cases.
Track and maintain instrument and supply levels.
Participate in staff meetings, training of new staff, and quality improvement initiatives.
Document patient data and procedural information accurately in the EMR.
Qualifications
ARRT-R certification and state license (as required) OR Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) required.
Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab preferred.
Completion of a cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology / hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
BLS (AHA) required upon hire.
ACLS (AHA) required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained.
Proficient computer skills.
