We are a thriving family dental practice supported by a growing Dental Service Organization (DSO) with partner locations across the country. Our mission is to help our team grow while positively impacting lives by improving smiles, confidence, and overall health.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Dental Assistant with at least 2 years of experience to join our LaGrange, GA office. If you are passionate about orthodontics and providing excellent patient care, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do :
- Assist Orthodontists chairside during procedures.
- Greet, escort, and prepare patients for treatment.
- Take radiographs and other records as directed by the provider.
- Set up and break down operatories, clean and sterilize instruments, and maintain equipment according to OSHA, federal, and state guidelines.
- Stock materials and maintain a smooth workflow in the clinic.
- Support front desk operations, including scheduling, checking in patients, verifying demographics, documenting treatment plans, and other administrative tasks.
Basic Requirements :
Minimum of 2 years of orthodontic assisting experience.Vocational / Technical training or Associate's Degree.Radiology certification and DPH Dental Assistant License.Familiarity with dental software, email, and Microsoft Word.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.Preferred Skills & Experience :
Taking orthodontic records (study models, X-rays, cephalometric, digital photos).Performing 1BA, adjustments, FCDB, debands, and impressions.Fabricating orthodontic retainers and handling lab shipments.Assisting with archwire bending, ligature replacement, and fixed band / bracket removal.Taking PVS impressions and bite registrations for Invisalign treatment.Coordinating with patients, parents, and the orthodontist for treatment presentations and progress updates.Experience with patients with special healthcare needs.Excellent communication, organization, and team leadership skills.Why You'll Love Working Here :
