About the Role
A leading global biopharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to support technology contracting, AI-related initiatives, and clinical trial operations. This role will focus on negotiating SaaS agreements, master service agreements, and emerging technology contracts that incorporate AI-related terms and compliance considerations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tech-savvy commercial attorney with strong contracting skills and experience supporting R&D, clinical operations, or digital transformation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate SaaS contracts and MSAs with clinical trial vendors, with a focus on incorporating AI-specific terms and requirements.
- Ensure all technology and vendor contracts comply with internal policies, regulatory frameworks, and data-privacy standards.
- Partner with technology, clinical trial, procurement, and compliance teams to evaluate privacy and regulatory considerations related to AI use in clinical trials.
- Draft and refine contractual language addressing the use of AI tools, models, and platforms in clinical research settings.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, regulatory implications, and best practices for adopting AI within clinical development programs.
- Support overflow commercial contracting needs and provide clear, practical guidance to cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
7 years of experience negotiating technology, SaaS, or commercial vendor agreements.Experience supporting life sciences, clinical trials, or healthcare technology preferred (not required).Familiarity with AI technologies and their applications in R&D or clinical trial environments is highly desirable.Strong understanding of privacy, data-use, and regulatory considerations related to AI and digital tools in the pharmaceutical sector.Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and support high-volume contract workflows.Based in or able to work remotely in U.S. Eastern time; Boston-area candidates preferred but not required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
