PRN Registered Nurse - Behavioral Medicine

Summary :

The skilled Registered Nurse, with experience in behavioral medicine, operates independently within a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of diverse patient needs. You will provide both routine and complex care, keeping long-term goals in focus. Continually enhance your ability to respond effectively to the dynamic challenges of clinical nursing while making informed assignments and delegating tasks to optimize patient care.

Responsibilities :

• Exemplify the OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Deliver nursing care in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards, using the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for your assigned patients.
• Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families based on your level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Keep accurate documentation of patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and offer education to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying issues and available resources.

Job Requirements : Education / Skills :

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience :

A minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications :

BLS certification is required.

RN License in the state of employment or compact is required.
