Job Summary : Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a supportive environment that exemplifies best practices and outstanding customer service. Acute care settings include Medical, Surgical, Emergency, Intensive Care, Childbirth, Pediatric, Operating Room, Perianesthesia, Endoscopy / GI, and Cardiac Cath Lab units.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
- Apply new knowledge from ongoing education to improve patient care and promote cost-saving practices.
- Make patient care assignments based on nurse expertise, patient acuity, and technical needs.
- Deliver excellent guest relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
- Communicate clearly to manage expectations and provide timely responses to patient needs.
- Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise and supporting healthcare students and their programs.

Education and Experience :
Graduate of an accredited nursing program or, if unaccredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications to be obtained and maintained.Licensure :
Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.
Work Environment :
Part-time position with 1st shift hours in a regional healthcare facility serving the Midwest region.
