DIETARY AIDE

Job Overview :

This position will work in the kitchen with the cooks to serve 3 meals per day to residents. The Dietary Aide works as part of team to assemble meals for tray service to resident rooms and to serve meals from a station in the dining room. The Dietary Aide also helps maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.

General Responsibilities :

• Help prepare and serve meals for patients and staff in accordance with menus, diet specifications, and sanitary practices
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness
• Clean and maintain dining room during and after each meal service
• Wash dishes
• Stock food and other supplies for the main kitchen and resident units if applicable
• Interact with other department staff, patients, and patients’ families
