Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist for 12-hour day shifts with ARRT(R) and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Position is within a high-volume radiology department at a trauma level IV teaching hospital
  • Work with patients from ED, inpatient, and outpatient areas representing a variety of diagnoses
  • Department averages 325 patients per day across multiple modalities
  • Utilizes Siemens and GE imaging equipment and EPIC EMR system
  • Scheduled for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 8 : 00 AM to 8 : 00 PM
  • Holiday coverage will be required for 75% of holidays
  • Department support includes nursing and transport staff
  • Free parking is available for all staff
  • Responsibilities vary depending on chosen modality and will be discussed during interview
  • Orientation includes online courses and 3-5 days departmental training depending on modality
  • Department promotes a culture of team accountability and patient-centered care
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Travelers must wear black scrubs while on shift
  • RTO requests are subject to manager approval
  • Weekend rotation, call requirements, and shift times depend on modality and will be discussed in the interview

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the modality specialty area
  • Current ARRT(R) and BLS certifications required
  • Photo ID will be collected during compliance process
  • Additional credentials may be required for specific modalities (e.g., ARRT(R)(CT), ARMRIT, ARDMS, NMTCB as applicable)
  • Experience using EPIC EMR preferred
  • Ability to provide reference from a recent supervisor or manager
  • License required if applicable
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility for eligibility
