Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of Level I trauma cardiac catheterization experience and active ARRT, BLS, and AZ MRTBE CRT credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an acute Level I trauma cardiac cath lab with 3 main labs, including 1 EP and 1 hybrid suite handling both vascular and cardiac cases
  • Patient population includes interventional cardiology, EP, vascular, mitra clip, TAVR, IABP, and Emtala placement cases
  • Daily caseload of 10-25 procedures
  • Uses Cerner and Xper EMR, as well as Phillips and Siemens equipment; Cerner EMR experience required
  • Tele monitoring with Phillips equipment
  • 12-hour day shifts with weekend and holiday call coverage required, 8-12 call days per month
  • Charge nurse and rad techs provide circulating and scrub support
  • Two-day floor-specific orientation provided
  • Perform a broad range of procedures in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and vascular cases
  • Respond to call with a 30-minute response time requirement
  • Scrub uniforms are provided
  • Call rotation includes weekends and holidays
  • Returning employees may not have worked for a facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years recent cath lab experience in a Level I trauma setting
  • Active ARRT, BLS, and AZ MRTBE CRT required
  • License required if applicable
  • Must be able to scrub as a technologist
  • Active state or compact (NLC) license for Arizona required; pending licenses not accepted
  • Proficiency with Cerner and Xper EMR systems
  • Driver’s license required for consideration
  • Two references : one supervisor from the last 12 months and one supervisor or peer from the past 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
