We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Strategic Communications who will partner with our executives to shape business narratives and thought leadership activities for external and internal audiences.

Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, this individual will play a critical role as the lead communications partner for key executives and will be accountable to develop and execute communications programs that achieve results. As a strategic thinker who effectively gets things done, this person proactively creates content, counsels executives, and collaborates with colleagues to lead change, shape narratives, and maximize positive impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as communications liaison with key executive leaders, cultivating relationships across the organization to develop strategic messaging and timely communication plans that advance business goals

Lead the strategy and development of external thought leadership activities for key executives, working closely with communications colleagues to evaluate, manage and coordinate external speaking engagements, execute social media posts and develop award submissions

Shape business narrative for external and internal audiences, developing compelling content across multiple channels

Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to mine for stories, data, and proof points

Monitor market and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform communication strategies and messaging

Manage issues and crisis communication when required, including developing communication protocols, preparing leadership messages, and coordinating responses to build trust with external stakeholders and internal employees

Lead strategy, messaging and executive preparation for employee town halls

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate communications, with a focus on strategic communications planning and execution within the healthcare industry
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages for a variety of audiences and channels (writing samples required at time of interview)
• Experience preparing executives for effective speaking engagements, including internal town halls and external industry panels and presentations

Additional Qualifications :

The base salary range for this position is$150,000 - $170,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here : Teladoc Health Benefits 2026 .Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
