Packaging Lead

About the Job :

Schilling Beer Company is seeking a Packaging Lead in a regular, full time, salary non-exempt position. The Packaging Lead is responsible for all facets of packaging operations at Schilling’s Production Facility, including leading a small team of packaging technicians. The Packaging Lead would work closely with our warehouse team to plan, coordinate, and execute kegging and canning operations on a daily basis.

Reports To : Head Brewer

This position requires working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m., with 1–2 weekend shifts per month (no more than 2 hours per shift). Overtime may be required as business needs dictate, in accordance with applicable labor laws.

Expectations & Duties :

• Proper handling of beer from brite tank through packaging.
• Packaging beer in kegs, cans, and, periodically, bottles.
• Standard QA practices such as carbonation and oxygenation testing, can seam tear downs, machine maintenance, etc.
• Canning line and equipment CIP and upkeep.
• Inventory control.
• Record all data in a timely manner into Ollie or other record keeping system.
• Provide continuous training and knowledge to the packaging team.
• Implement best practices, company safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
