Merchandise Quality Specialist

Location : Ontario, CA | Full-Time | 1st Shift (6am–2 : 30pm) or 2nd Shift (4pm–12 : 30am)

Hourly Pay : $21 / hr |

What You’ll Do :

As a Merchandise Quality Specialist , you’ll serve as the key link between our suppliers and our shelves—making sure the products we deliver meet brand standards, quality expectations, and customer delight. You’ll work hands-on with fashion-forward merchandise, tackle challenges, and partner with vendors, planners, and DC teams to keep everything moving smoothly.

Your Impact :

  • Ensure all merchandise matches purchase order specs—right item, right label, right time.
  • Review fashion, quality, value, and branding to meet our promise of 20-60% off comparable prices .
  • Evaluate color, size, and style mixes to ensure perfect assortments for our customers.
  • Flag and resolve compliance issues around packing, ticketing, shipping, and legal labeling.
  • Identify damaged or poor-quality goods and make fast, smart decisions on returns and processing.
  • Ensure seasonal relevance and appropriateness across zones and store types.
  • Maintain accurate merchandise logs and handle problem orders efficiently.
  • Partner with vendors, buyers, and internal DC teams to troubleshoot and improve flow.
  • Use merchandising knowledge to review logos, tags, fabrics, and care instructions.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently to ensure timely, cross-functional issue resolution.

What You Bring :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in merchandising, supply chain, or logistics
  • 1–2 years of experience in merchandising or retail operations
  • Strong attention to detail and time management—able to juggle and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Lotus Notes, and inventory systems
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills
  • Active listening and adaptability—you know how to get the message across
