Job Description

Blown Film Extrusion Lead is a senior member of the production team, responsible for overseeing and optimizing extrusion operations. This role requires expertise in all aspects of the extrusion process, ensuring maximum efficiency, high-quality standards, and effective leadership. In addition to performing the responsibilities of the Extrusion Tech I, Tech II, Tech III, & Tech IV, the Extrusion Lead has the capability to manage and fill in for the supervisor, set examples on the production floor, assist in managing an efficient crew, helping train all Tech levels, and complete Leader Standard Work sheets daily as provided by the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

The Extrusion Lead is responsible for fulfilling all duties of the Extrusion Tech I, II, III and IV roles, in addition to the tasks specific to the Lead position. This role not only requires you to acquire the skills necessary to become an invaluable team member but also to mentor and teach these skills to Tech I, II, III and IV employees as they progress through their training.

Competency (Knowledge, skills, and abilities)

• Exemplary performance and proficiency with Tech I, II, III & IV responsibilities.
• Adhere to physical requirements, including being able to lift 55lbs above waist level, ascend and descend several flights of stairs to perform certain tasks, and be on your feet for up to 12 hours.
• Demonstrates strong work ethic, leadership qualities and ability to lead by example on the production floor.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, supporting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Adaptability to changing production needs and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Dedication to maintaining high-quality standards and meeting production targets.
• Proficiency in running any line in BFO and efficiently managing any order change or setup.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and optimizing production processes.
