Positions are available to join the Samples Shipyard in Boothbay Harbor team. • Lead Marine Systems Technician
• Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
• Maintain customers boats as well as troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues.
• Possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of mechanical and specialized systems found on both power and sailboats of all sizes.
• Display a commitment to consistently delivering quality service and excellent attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively with both coworkers and customers.
• Assist in recruiting, mentoring and training less experienced technicians.
• Committed to continuous improvement and willingness to participate in continuing education / training opportunities as they are presented.
• Qualified candidates will have :
• A minimum of
• four
• years of experience in service within the marine industry
• A high level of proficiency with marine engines
• Background in onboard electrical and plumbing systems is a plus
• Ability to perform fabrication, welding, and soldering tasks is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a focus on continued growth
