Requirements  Inpatient - Trauma Surgery (JSUMC Dept of Surgery) needs a PA - would be open to an NP but the priority would be given to PA's since they cover pediatrics and occasional OR.

Need 2-3 FT PA's

MUST have a NJ license

Trauma or Critical Care would be suitable - trauma / critical care or ED / critical care experience is usually the best option ? they do not need some much surgery experience.

Reason for request - prolonged vacancy

Up to date CDS and DEA required

ATLS, ACLS, PALS required

Trauma level experience required - We are an ACS level 1 Peds and Adult. The APP can be from a level 2 center. ICU experience is preferred.

Shifts - 3 days a week 12.5 hour shifts - In terms of shifts, night shift is preferred, days are needed as well. A provider may work a day shift, then have the following date?s night shift. No 24 hour shifts or reverse 24 hours (night to day) shifts.

Nights and Days with 60% nights, 40% days - The schedule requires 60% nights which is about 1-3 nights per week

Will need to be credentialed at JSUMC

Patient load - 10-25

Procedures - central line, arterial line placement, chest tube placement, simple and intermediate wound repair

First assist experience is not required - prefer PA as there could be a need for assistance occasionally.
