Surgical Technologist I - General Specialty Evening Shift

As a Surgical Technologist I in our General Specialty department, you will play a vital role in ensuring optimal patient care during surgical procedures. Your expertise in maintaining a sterile environment and assisting surgeons will make a significant difference in our patients' lives.

Location : Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215

Schedule : Full-time, evening shift with 8 or 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, including on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient operating room environment.
• Utilize aseptic techniques to prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist with gowning and gloving, draping the surgical area, and providing a sterile field.
• Function as a Second Assistant when needed and anticipate the Surgeon's requirements.
• Ensure disinfection and safety of the operating room, including the setup and maintenance of equipment.
• Transport patients and equipment, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care specific to the developmental needs of patients.
