Payroll Specialist | Kansas City, MO

LHH is working with a client in the Kansas City, MO area who is seeking to hire a Payroll Specialist. This role is responsible for managing and executing payroll operations across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and supporting internal stakeholders with payroll-related inquiries. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities :

• Process full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple states.
• Maintain accurate records of employee earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and labor regulations.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure data integrity and timely updates.
• Administer payroll-related benefits such as retirement plans, garnishments, and bonuses.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax documentation.
• Generate payroll reports and support audits as needed.
• Stay current on changes in payroll laws and best practices.

Pay Details : $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
