z / OS Mainframe Programmer

A company is looking for a z / OS Mainframe Programmer to support a federal government project.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance legacy mainframe applications for IRS tax processing and data management

Write, test, and troubleshoot programs using Assembler, JCL, and IBM z / OS utilities

Monitor batch jobs and manage code changes in compliance with IRS procedures

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience with Assembler Language programming and JCL

Experience with IBM z / OS, TSO / ISPF, SDSF, Endevor, and FTP / SFTP

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using IBM Debug Tool and FILE Manager

Understanding of QSAM access methods

Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a background check
