Electrician - Facilities Management - Full Time - Day Shift
The ability to understand and interpret the National Electrical Code. Understanding of OSHA, Local, State and DOH codes and regulations as related to a hospital setting. Understand and carry out preventative maintenance programs.
Experienced in both single and three-phase power. Experienced in troubleshooting circuitry. Working knowledge of fire alarm, Nurse call, and building automation systems. Knowledge of "How to troubleshoot air conditioning and refrigeration units" including ice machines. Experience in bending conduit, safely pull cable and terminating wires / devices. Strong understanding of "How to use various testing equipment, amp meter, ohm meters, etc. Must be able to read blueprints and understand engineers' specifications and one-line diagrams. Experienced with high voltage. Experienced with 110 / 220 voltage and low voltage. Some general mechanical experience. Ability to perform heavy lifting and climbing. Ability to perform snow removal duties including shoveling salting and working knowledge of snow plow operations. Strong self-motivation is expected.
