A trusted community-focused hospital in  Rome, NY  is seeking a  Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Nocturnist  to join its expanding Hospitalist team. ✨ Position Highlights

Location :  Rome, NY

Schedule :  Full-time Nocturnist

Patient Census :  ~5–10 patients per night

Environment :  Collaborative, community-centered

EMR :  Paragon

Support :

24 / 7 Intensivist consultant availability

Strong subspecialty support

Dedicated nursing, case management & ancillary teams

Eligible Applicants :

BC / BE Internal Medicine (BE within 1 year accepted)

New graduates welcome

Employment Type :  W2 only (no Locums, no 1099, no visa sponsorship)

🩺 Role Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient care to assigned patients overnight

Perform admissions from ED and direct admissions with complete H&P and diagnostic evaluation

Manage acute conditions including open ICU patients (with intensivist support for complex cases)

Coordinate multidisciplinary care with nurses, specialists, case managers, and ancillary staff

Participate in safe and timely discharge planning

Maintain accurate, efficient documentation in Paragon EMR

Engage in interdisciplinary rounds and high-quality handoffs

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs

Demonstrate exceptional communication, clinical judgment & professionalism

Support residents, students, or APPs as needed

Remain engaged in CME and professional development activities

💰 Compensation & Benefits

Guaranteed Base Salary :  $325,000 annually

📝 Requirements

BC / BE in Internal Medicine (BE must become BC within 1 year)

Active NY license or willingness to obtain

DEA

Clean malpractice & license history

Experience as a Hospitalist / Nocturnist preferred (1 year)
