Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,972 per week in Albuquerque, NM

Job Title : Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession : Registered Nurse Specialty : ER Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : 2 years required; will consider candidates with 1.5 years of experience with Level 1 Trauma License : NM license can pend at time of submission Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (TNCC must be obtained prior to submission) Must-Have : Previous travel experience strongly preferred; Level 1 Trauma experience preferred Description : No RQI certifications accepted. Approximately 60%-80% of the Emergency Department patients are admitted. Many of the ED rooms are designated as ED Holding. Travelers will be scheduled for weekends as needed. Weekend days include Saturday and Sunday; weekend nights include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Medication administration is expected, including IV medication via the seven rights of medication administration. Documenting and communicating clinical findings is essential. Patient ratios are 1 : 5. Nursing staff may float to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs, and floating to the ED Holding area is expected. Previous charge experience is preferred. Travel experience is required, and first-time travelers may be accepted if they have 2 years of Level 1 experience. Floating to Pediatric ED is optional. The facility requires compliance documentation submitted before the start date. COVID-19 vaccination is required, with religious and medical exemptions accepted upon completion of a COVID exemption form signed by a provider for medical. Unit staffing includes interdisciplinary support services such as Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Social Services. Travelers are expected to maintain compliance with facility requirements and deadlines. Drug screens are required to be completed within a specific time frame after signing a contract. Personal transportation is required. All clinicians must adhere to the facility's policies and protocols during their assignment. Travelers must be prepared to work shifts as scheduled, including weekends. Experience in Trauma or Resuscitation is preferred.
