Surgical Technician / OR Tech (12683)

InGenesis is currently seeking Surgical Technicians / OR Techs to work with our client in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for circulating the full range of surgical procedures performed in the operating room.

Job Duties

• Acting as a sterile member of the surgical team, passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
• Proficiency in processing, sterilizing, and packaging surgical instrumentation.
• Anticipating surgeon needs, passing instruments, providing sterile items efficiently, and practicing aseptic technique.
• Safely transporting patients to the OR and screening them before transport.
• Documenting patient care and progress of the patient, performing a vast array of direct patient care procedures.
• Responsible for quality assurance / risk management and responding to breaches of standard procedures which compromise the patient or staff members.
