American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for an acute care assignment requiring flexibility, CA RN license, and expertise in orthopedic and bariatric cases.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Operating Room (OR) covering both Main OR and Outpatient Surgery Center (OPSC) settingsAcute care environment with 4 OR suites each at Main and OPSC, averaging 10–20 cases per daySpecializes in robotics, orthopedics, bariatrics, general, plastics, urology, GYN, podiatry, and eye proceduresCerner Surginet is the charting system usedEvening shifts, Monday through Friday 1400–2230, with required call including overnight, weekends, and holidaysFloat between Main OR and OPSC as neededCall response time is 30 minutesFlexibility to cover callouts and adjust shifts to meet scheduled cases is essentialRequired to be first to float between Main OR and OPSC as neededMay not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within the past year, except for PRN through outside staffingOrientation provided and tailored to experiencePass / Fail tests on sterile technique and dysrhythmia required on orientation dayAbility to participate in holiday and weekend call rotations expectedScrubs are provided\n \n Requirements\n
Current and active CA RN license requiredMinimum 2 years recent acute care OR experience requiredCertifications required : BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)Must have prior travel assignment experienceExperience circulating in orthopedic and bariatric cases is requiredAbility to circulate is a must; scrubbing experience preferred but not requiredRadiation badge requiredTwo professional references required : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months, one from a supervisor or peer within the last 3 yearsCopy of driver’s license required for consideration\n Benefits\n
