Pay Information $2,378 per week About The Position Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Emergency Department Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Two years current experience required in a large emergency department. License : State nursing license or Compact State nursing license. Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have : Selected candidates must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test. Candidates will not be able to start an assignment until they have passed this onsite administered test. Candidates who fail will have one opportunity to retest. A second failure will result in contract cancellation and enforcement of applicable fees. Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required. Description : Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient and family, as well as the healthcare team. Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by a physician or standard protocols, and documents according to policy. Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of licensed practical nurses and non-licensed assistive personnel. Completes patient population / age-specific / procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards. Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
