Pay : $3,228.00 / week

Completion Bonus : $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Position Overview

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Middletown, Ohio. This role involves supporting a full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic vascular, neuro, and body interventions.

The technologist will work Monday through Friday, with call requirements to be discussed during the interview. This role requires strong knowledge of imaging equipment, contrast administration, sterile technique, and Epic charting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality interventional radiology imaging for patients of all ages according to established protocols.
• Assist radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including vascular interventions, neuro-interventional studies, and general IR procedures.
• Prepare, administer, and document contrast media administration in accordance with policy and safety guidelines.
• Maintain strict sterile technique and assist with medical emergencies during procedures.
• Implement screening, safety checks, and compliance with IR department policies and radiation-safety protocols.
• Review clinical history and correlate findings with exam indications.
• Perform daily and weekly quality control (QC) checks on imaging equipment.
• Coordinate patient care with nursing, radiology, and ancillary departments to ensure smooth workflow and optimal patient satisfaction.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and expectations, addressing questions and concerns.
• Ensure accurate electronic documentation, recordkeeping, and verification of signed physician orders in Epic EMR.
• Assist with portable exams and support other medical imaging modalities when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency equipment locations and operation within the IR unit.
