Any call-offs or additional time off on the unit may result in cancellation. Floating is required as needed with the potential to float every shift. Patient diagnoses include Congestive Heart Failure and Arrhythmias. The unit monitors cardiac patients on various drips, including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine. Sheath pulls and TR Band procedures are performed on the unit. Staffing ratios are 1 : 6-7 during night shifts. Weekends require 5-6 shifts, equating to every other weekend. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays, with no time off allowed during the first week of the assignment. Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed. Travel pairs are allowed but must work on different units. Successful candidates must pass EKG testing prior to the start for this specialty. References from supervisors within the past 12 months are highly preferred. Candidates must be comfortable floating based on the job description with no restrictions or special requests. Modules are required to be completed before starting the assignment.
