We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our Learning and Development team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law firm and be familiar with various legal software applications. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can follow set processes and directions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications, including those specific to the legal industry.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
- Create facilitator materials, quick reference guides, and eLearning content for technical applications.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to established standards and guidelines.
- Review and update existing documentation to reflect changes in software and processes.
- Recommend and implement improved delivery methods to enhance training products.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communication, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years' experience as a technical writer or technical trainer.Minimum of 3 years' experience within a law firm.Proficiency with legal software applications and an understanding of the legal industry.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow set processes and directions.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Familiarity with documentation tools and software such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and document management systems.Preferred Skills
Experience with eLearning tools and creating digital training content.Knowledge of instructional design principles.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Additional Benefits
