Position Summary
The Grow Manager plays a vital role in the success of our cultivation operation by ensuring high-quality plant care, operational consistency, and team execution. This role acts as a hands-on leader, providing functional oversight of day-to-day activities for a team of harvest / grow staff and core tasks associated with weekly harvests, canopy management, propagation, and daily workflow. This position will inspect for quality assurance from seed to sale and ensure the procedures are being followed and meet specific requirements set forth by the Cultivation General Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :

Provide daily oversight in conjunction with Cultivation Leads of cultivation activities to ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety, and compliance protocols are followed.

Assist with personnel development and coordinate with the Cultivation General Manager to ensure a smooth onboarding of new employees.
\t
\t
Perform quality control checks, diagnose plant health, deficiencies, pests, and other issues while coming up with the best solution to harvesting product.
\t
\t
Training all employees on proper harvest techniques and overseeing the harvest process and associated safety standards.
\t
\t
Assist with the design of company SOPs as it relates to the Cultivation and Harvest process.
\t
\t
Will coordinate and assist with ensuring the quality of all Cultivation and Harvest activities within the facility are up to Company standards.
\t
\t
Manage optimal asset utilization and establish staffing requirements to meet schedules.
\t
\t
All other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
\t
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
\t
\t
Must be at least 21 years of age.
\t
\t
Must be able to obtain proper badging as required by State law.
\t
\t
Understanding of the harvest techniques and cannabis pests / diseases.
\t
\t
Two (2) years of prior experience with hands-on Cultivation and Harvesting cannabis in different environments with various techniques.
\t
\t
Understanding of common grow room equipment such as irrigation systems, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, etc.
\t
\t
Comfortable giving direction and feedback, while escalating sensitive issues to formal management.
\t
\t
Works well in a team environment.
\t
\t
Strong attention to detail.
\t
\t
Excellent time management skills.
\t
\t
Ability to work in a highly regulated environment.
\t
\t
Demonstrated managerial experience in a manufacturing / processing environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
\t
Must be able to push, pull, move, and / or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and / or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance

Must be able to work seated / standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands / fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently / constantly to complete tasks

\t
Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE
\t
\t
Must have visual acuity with / without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts / details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night / dark conditions

\t
Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs
\t
\t
Exposure to pollen, allergens, and chemical pesticides in the grow facility or greenhouse
\t
\t
Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, chemicals, fumes, dust, odors, extreme heat temperatures, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, noise, protective gear, vibrations, and water
