Job description

The power BI positions are hybrid and require 2-3 days in office in Warren.

Client is looking for resources that is comfortable building, optimizing, and maintaining Power BI reports. This includes understanding modelling data in and out of Power BI and when best to use front end DAX.. This would need to be combined with an outgoing personality that is perfectly comfortable speaking to stakeholders in the business to understand requirements and provide analytic solutions.

P&C Insurance Domain Knowledge is MANDATORY

Job Title : Senior Power BI Developer

Job Location : Warren, NJ (Hybrid)

Job Duration : 6 to 12 Months

Pay Rate : $68.00 / Hour on W2

JOB DESCRIPTION

Experience : 5+ Years

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports using DAX, Power Query, and SQL.
  • Work closely with business units (underwriting, claims, policy admin) to gather requirements and translate them into data models and visualizations.
  • Integrate multiple data sources (SQL Server, Excel, APIs, etc.) into Power BI for consolidated reporting.
  • Optimize performance of dashboards and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Provide technical support and training to business users.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for BI solutions and data models.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to improve data pipelines and reporting architecture.
  • Stay updated with Power BI and data visualization best practices.

    • Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in Power BI development.
  • Strong experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance domain.
  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and dashboard design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
