About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Credit Officer to provide strategic leadership and support for all credit department operations. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the loan risk management process, maintaining and updating loan policies and procedures to ensure compliance with best practices and regulations, and staying abreast of industry and economic trends to make necessary adjustments. Additionally, the role involves informing key stakeholders of any significant factors affecting the loan portfolio, developing and managing an internal credit training program, and leading a team to ensure proper loan documentation, covenant compliance, and sound lending practices.
Applicants for the Chief Credit Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years' of experience in financial / credit analysis and lending, including a strong background in C&I lending. Management experience is essential, and a background in loan workouts and SBA is preferred. The role requires the ability to create and analyze credit-related documents, as well as a proactive approach to professional development and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of performance. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader, capable of influencing their own development and that of their team, and will be dedicated to the continuous improvement of credit practices within the organization.
