About The Position

Job Title : Emergency Room Nurse

License : Registered Nurse

Certifications : Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and conscious sedation certification

Description :

Our Emergency Department consists of multiple areas including a Main ED, an ED Fast Track, and an ED Observation Unit.

All ED nurses are expected to rotate through each of these areas regularly.

In addition, nurses may be assigned to Triage, Quick Registration, Covid Tent, and Entry Screening.

Nurses can expect to be assigned to a different area at minimum daily.

They may be rotated during their shift, depending on the patient volume and needs of the unit.

Duties may include assisting with Covid testing and / or immunization clinics as needed.

Shift will be scheduled for Night Shift with a maximum of one week of request time off, if needed.

Shifts may change during the contract, and coverage for day shifts may be required depending on staffing needs.

The typical schedule includes 7 on, 7 off, with 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next.

Travelers may occasionally be expected to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work.

This could include taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting.

Alternatively, it may be task-oriented, such as answering call lights and phones.

Holiday coverage may be required.

Bilingual skills are not required.

EMR used is RPMS.
