Business Analyst
Kalman & Company Inc. is seeking a highly motivated performance driven individual with strong business and information systems experience to work closely with our Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) clients. Successful candidates will have excellent communication quantitative research and analytical skills and the ability to principally contribute to several of the largest and most significant studies in Kalmans portfolio. This position will be primarily on-site in Camp Springs MD. This role is tied to a contract proposal. The proposed salary range is $110K / yr-$140K / year

Specific Duties :
Expertise in requirements gathering process mapping and workflow optimizationStrong understanding of Agile methodologies testing and system deploymentAbility to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business solutionsFacilitate cross-functional collaboration across a variety of government stakeholdersDevelop and implement data driven strategies to optimize operational efficiency in alignment with applicable guidance and policiesConduct technology assessments and provide actional recommendations for Information Technology (IT) enhancementsImplement and scale Agile methodologies with clearly defined roles / responsibilities and provide Agile training sessionsDevelop change management strategies and implement knowledge management toolsDevelop structured readiness plans with clear objectives timelines and success metricsLead the preparation of briefing materials and other communications packages and present analysis results to program leadership and outside agencies / organizationsWork autonomously and as part of a team to meet organizational and project goalsProsses a strong understanding of DHS acquisition processesAddress challenges with creative problem solvingRequired Education / Qualifications :
US CitizenshipBachelors degree in Business Information Systems or a related field8 years of experience as a business analyst or SME with at least 5 years supporting federal programs in areas such as process optimization requirements analysis and system integrationAbility to lead detail-oriented tasks and multi-task under minimal supervisionExcellent analysis skills and experience working with large data setsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environmentPreferred Education / Qualifications :
Experience supporting large-scale DoD or DHS IT or ERP programsCertified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or equivalentExperience supporting Business Case Analyses (BCAs) Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs) Economic Analyses (EAs) or other decision analytics studiesRequired Experience :
