Our work depends on Forklift Mechanic joining our team to work in a supply chain warehouse operation that processes Sponsor's worldwide cargo shipments.HOW A FORKLIFT MECHANIC WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Responsible for the proper repair and maintenance for a large fleet of forklifts and related equipment of various brands (predominately Raymond) Repair electric forklift / chargers, electric utility vehicles / chargers, electric pallet jacks, diesel engine drive forklifts, gasoline engine driven tug, and electric man lifts Candidate will possess capable mechanic skills to perform independently and without any immediate supervision Schedules, prioritizes, inspects and repairs forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, etc., determines within prescribed value range, when a major component, assembly is to be repaired, rebuilt, replaced or discarded Required to maintain forklift fleet and training vehicles, and prepares written estimates on cost and labor time for corrective repairsWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED : Education : High School Diploma / GED Required Experience : 5+ years of related experience Required Technical Skills : Extensive knowledge of the operating systems used in forklifts and associated hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems Security Clearance Level : TS / SCI Required Skills and Abilities : Ability to weld simple parts, ability to operate a forklift, power tools, wrenches, diagnostic equipment, and jacks Location : Springfield, Virginia US Citizenship RequiredGDIT IS YOUR PLACE : 401K with company match Comprehensive health and wellness packages Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications Cutting-edge technology you can learn from Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays#IntelLogsJobs#JET#OpportunityOwned#GDITCareers#WeAreGDITThe likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.13 - $29.90. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
