Sleep Medicine Nurse Practitioner - Outpatient only

Piedmont Pulmonary and Sleep – Sleep Medicine Advanced Practice Provider – Outpatient – Newnan

Piedmont Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner to join the Piedmont Pulmonary and Sleep office in Newnan. This is a full-time outpatient position focusing on sleep medicine patients with the occasional pulmonary patient.

Key Responsibilities :

Ambulatory care responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Functions as an independent provider in a busy outpatient pulmonary and sleep medicine office with MDs available to assist in evaluating complex patients as needed.
• Takes patient histories, conducts physical examinations, writes progress notes, and develops appropriate treatment plans.
• Orders and interprets laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures including Home Sleep Tests, In-lab Polysomnography, Chest X-rays, Chest CTs, and Pulmonary Function testing. Explain the necessity, nature, and results of the scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedure(s) to the patient.
• Reviews recent PAP usage with the patient via compliance reports and troubleshoots any barriers to nightly PAP use.

NP :  Graduate from a school of nursing with a current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing
