Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Emergency Department Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Shift Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 3 years recent emergency room experience in a hospital setting License : Must have a state RN or multi-state RN license Certifications : Must have ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association) Must-Have : TNCC certification preferred but not required Description : The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to emergency room patients. The nurse utilizes the nursing process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills and scientific judgment. The nurse exhibits leadership in planning for the safe delivery of care to patients. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education. Delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available. Provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care. The position requires a weekend rotation.
