Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Emergency Room Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : 2 years required License : Valid state license required Certifications : ACLS, BCLS, PALS, NIH required; CPI, TNCC preferred Must-Have : - Insertion of central lines - Arterial lines - Chest tubes - Post cardiac arrest hypothermia - Intubations - Code strokes - Code STEMIs - Code Blue team - Trauma patients - Pediatric patients and transfers - Sexual assault cases - Mental health patients board Description : Emergency Room Nights will be available for qualified candidates. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Room. First-time applicants are accepted. Every other weekend is required. Candidates should have certifications in ACLS, BCLS, PALS, and NIH. CPI and TNCC certifications are preferred. Candidates may float between different units and inpatient floors as needed. The patient ratio is 1 : 3. The patient population includes neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients. Daily census is approximately 150 visits, with a total of 44 beds available. Special procedures performed in this unit include the insertion of central lines, arterial lines, and chest tubes. Candidates should be familiar with managing post cardiac arrest hypothermia and intubations. Candidates will also participate in code strokes, code STEMIs, and the Code Blue team. Equipment used includes rapid infusers, hypothermia devices, GlideScope, bedside cardiac monitoring, ultrasound, and infant warmers. Daily responsibilities involve providing high-quality medical care to diverse patient populations.
