Paramedic

Heres What You Need

Education :

High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Experience :

Three (3) months recent Paramedic experience or completion of a Paramedic Internship is required.

One (1) year of Paramedic experience is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic upon hire required

LP - Licensed Paramedic Upon Hire required

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire required

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire required.

PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 60 days of hire required.

CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 60 days of hire required.

Skills

Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast paced environment positive interpersonal skills good verbal and written communication skills able to perform basic computer skills.

What You Will Do

Participates in change; understands promotes and values ed evidence-based practices quality improvement and / or research and utilizes them in practice; follows guidelines and recommendations defined by regulatory or professional practice agencies. Provides daily care that achieves outcome targets for core measures NPSG employee satisfaction patient satisfaction NDNQI and other unit / organizational metrics; demonstrates commitment to lifelong learning and development; demonstrates a commitment to advancing the professional practice of paramedicine; incorporates ethical principles from the Texas Department of State Health Services EMT Code of Ethics.
